The gardens
The gardens at Olivo Santo are designed to complement the architecture of the property and to frame distinct visual perspectives of the surrounding hilltop landscape. Planted primarily with native species, they include a large lawn esplanade, a promenade encircling the property, a secluded “secret garden,” and a small polo field.
The center piece of the garden is the pond, located between the residential buildings and the pool and tennis areas. A children’s playground is also available.
The Orchard
The orchard produces seasonal vegetables, and guests are welcome to participate in its cultivation. Both the olive plantation and gardens are maintained organically — fertilized with compost and humus produced on site, and irrigated through an efficient drip system.
The estate follows sustainable practices, including conscientious recycling and the employment of local staff to promote
regional development.
Amenities
The swimming pool is located within the gardens, a short distance from the pool house, solarium, jacuzzi, temazcal and massage room. An indoor heated pool with its own fireplace extends the season into winter evenings.
A wide range of activities is available — including tennis, polo, bouldering, pool table.
